On May 6th, the exhibition The Charm of Wood was opened at the Cankarjev Dom, where you can also see the works of members of the Municipal Society of the Blind and Visually Impaired from Kranj. The products of the blind and visually impaired were created in a woodworking workshop as part of the European project Multisensory Art. During the two-day woodworking workshop, we created numerous wooden products. For The Charm of Wood, we are submitting reliefs. The starting point for them was the emotion of anger. The workshop participants shared what angers them. Together, we agreed that we are angry about the irresponsible behavior of people towards nature. We expressed our anger by pounding and pressing various tools into the soft surface of spruce wood. The relief surface was then decorated with wooden rings and other wooden elements.
